Comment : I was recently traveling from Arizona back to my home in Buffalo, NY, driving my 25 year old Dodge Ram Cummins diesel pickup with 300,000 miles (what could go wrong?). I was having a good trip until, just after entering Missouri, my transmission heat exchanger sprang a significant leak, losing a large amount of coolant and leaving me stranded. I ve got good AAA roadside assistance coverage (a good thing with a truck such as mine) and, after checking with AAA for repair shop recommendations in the area, got my truck towed to 360? Auto Service in nearby Joplin. It was in the afternoon and I wasn t confident I d be able to get things fixed and get back on the road the same day. Given the year of my truck and the nature of the failure, I would not have been surprised if the folks at 360? would have turned me away, saying that they were too busy or would at least tell me they were booked up and couldn t look at my truck for a few days.Instead of putting me on hold, Tanner, Matt, and Brandon welcomed me in and got Chris, one of their mechanics/technicians to get my truck into a work bay to determine the extent of the damage. Although I typically work on my truck when I m at home and had a good idea of the source of the leaking, Chris was more thorough with his inspection and quickly determined the exact location and cause - the heat exchanger had developed a crack in its housing and couldn t be repaired. At that point, most shops would have told me that a replacement part was not available locally and have said I would have to wait until a replacement could be found. Instead, Chris and I discussed the situation in detail and he proposed a repair solution that would suffice for the remainder of my trip. I fully understood the methodology needed and gave my full support and blessing to move forward with undertaking the work. Chris then proceeded to diligently work on my truck for the remainder of the afternoon, even postponing an after-work appointment he had previously made. After the repairs were completed, Chris refilled my truck with coolant, carefully observing the fill process, and then spent sufficient time to run the truck to observe that the repair was going to last. At about 5:45 pm, well after their normal 5 pm closing time, 360? gave me the OK to continue my trip and I headed back onto the highway. I completed the final 1000 miles of my journey without any problems and the repair is holding up well. A new heat exchanger has been ordered and should be here within a week.360? Auto Service provided me with excellent customer service and went out of their way to help this stranded motorist get home as safely and as quickly as possible (I even got to enjoy a few magic tricks courtesy of Matt). I recommend 360? without any hesitancy and wish they were closer than 1000 miles to my home!Tandy NicelyI was recently traveling from Arizona back to my home in Buffalo, NY, driving my 25 year old Dodge Ram Cummins diesel pickup with 300,000 miles (what could go wrong?).
